John Bruderlin began the Lynx Corporation from very humble beginnings operating out of a small rented shed in Croydon, NSW Australia. A naturally gifted machinist and fabricator, John completed his indentureship with Qantas as an Aeronautical Engineer in 1954. And like most of us, the need for speed was a powerful influence in his life, and so began a racing career that spanned over two decades of circuit racing and hill climbs. Naturally, he was fabricating many of the components for his racing machines, which eventually led to the construction in 1968 of the LYNX Monoposto open wheel race cars. |

These were mainly "Formula junior" cars, with many racers such as Kevin Bartlett, Colin Bond, Peter Williamson, Bob Holden and Peter Wherrett lining up on the grid in one of their hand crafted LYNX masterpieces. It is interesting to note that of the original 23 cars constructed many are still competing today, graphically demonstrating their advanced their design. |

During the 60's, Lynx began to design and manufacture cast alloy induction manifolds for many 4 and 6 cylinder engines, utilising their patented "crossover" design to provide greater power and torque than any other manifold on the market. Following this was the introduction of the "Ram-Flo" range of sports air filters, complimenting the free breathing intake manifolds. Since 1970, over 2.5 million Ramflo's have been sold around the world, a testimony to the Ram Flo's innovative design and brilliant engineering. |

Expanding on the parts-supply side of things in the 70's, Lynx began importing the best performance equipment available from around the world. Brands such as TRW, Mallory, Holley, Dellorto and Edelbrock were distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand, cementing Lynx's place as the biggest supplier of quality automotive components on that side of the globe. |

TheRam Flo range has been expanded to encompass Ram Pods and Ram Panels, which are a range of high flow reusable surgical cotton gauze air cleaner elements for use in virtually all cars and 4WD's. They not only filter the air more effectively than a paper element, but by being far less restrictive , allow the engine to make a few kilowatts of extra power. |
